In My City is a book that tells the origin of the Mod scene in Barcelona explained by its protagonists.
The book collects the comments of 19 of the original Mods of the Barcelona scene, among which are Albert and Ricky Gil (Brighton 64), Joaquín Felipe (Los Canguros), Juan Antonio and José Belmonte (Telegrama), Manolo Crespo (Kamenbert) and Carles Estrada (Los Positivos) among others, always keeping the city of Barcelona and its streets as a setting.

In its pages you travel through the first years, from a scenario of cultural emptiness and lack of places and resources to promote activities, to a consolidation of a scene centered first in the Boira bar and then displaced to the mythical Zeleste room, in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, passing through ephemeral, and often surreal, meeting places. On the way they explain to us a discovery of the Mod culture, its initiation, sometimes complicated, into the Scene, the creation of fanzines and radios to publicize the Mod culture and promote activities, the lack of aid and neglect of the official media, the search for information about music, costumes and all the basic elements of the Mod culture, in a Spain with still little openness to foreign influence, all while confronting the rest of the city's urban subcultures and trying to sneak away from the police; to finally end, after the opening of the scene to new currents that departed from the original orientation, in the gradual abandonment of the Scene.

More than 300 pages of fragments of conversations held with the protagonists and photographs of all of them, the meeting places and the rest of the members of the Scene that unearth the origins in Barcelona of the least known of the urban subcultures.
